 Growing Woodland Mushrooms

  • Tuesday, June 30, 2020, 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM

This program is offered by CCE Columbia & Green Counties:

Are you interested in growing your own mushrooms or starting a small scale mushroom operation? If that’s you, join us virtually in our own Siuslaw Model Forest mushroom laying yard. We’ll also focus on shiitakes as a scale-able crop and best management practices so you can have this sustainable food source in your backyard or woods. We’ll explore other mushroom species and the different techniques for growing. Topics that we will cover include:

  • Sourcing supplies for your production
  • The process of inoculating and managing your mushroom logs
  • Scaling production to meet your needs
  • Other woodland mushroom opportunities
