NCRAT Weekly Update 10-1-20

Crops:

  • We are continuing to collect suspected resistant marestail seeds for greenhouse herbicide resistance screenings this winter. We are also getting the usual post-harvest weed control questions with requests for field visits to identify weeds that were not controlled.

Dairy:

Reaching out to local ag businesses for sponsorships for winter programming.

Working on multiple research projects and DAP calf discussion group (farm visits for calf weights and blood samples)

Working on NNYADP project proposals for next year

Working on a few podcast and webinar series with Statewide Dairy Group

Helping local counties with virtual Family Farm Day/Day at the Farm

Running the Digital Dairy Prospects Program
