Curtis Latremore never thought he’d end up a chicken farmer. Curtis has three children, and his middle child, Kegan, was born with autism. The relationship and activities tending to the chickens and eggs has been a game-changer for Kegan. Latremore’s eggs are certified organic, New York State Grown and Certified, and free range. Curtis Latremore opened his family farm in 2011 with two barns, each housing a maximum of 20,000 chickens. Two years later, a third barn was added, bringing total capacity to 60,000, mostly of the Lohmann Brown variety. Nothing creates a better business model than family devotion.
A small on farm milk processing facility with a goal of providing the local area with dairy products made with certified organic milk, with a specialty in creamline milk. Creamline milk is non-homogenized, which just means that the fat particles are not broken down before bottling. Creamline milk keeps it as natural as possible while still being completely safe to drink and is often coveted for the extra creamy taste. Built from the ground up by a family who prioritizes quality.
A family-owned farm store serving the North Country. An essential service for the many farms here in Clinton County - offering a large variety of products such as feed, gates, stock tanks, culvert pipe, shavings, wood pellets, dog and cat food, bird seed, and a fully stocked line of shoves, forks, brooms, etc. They are also partnered with companies such as Nutrena, Poulin, Seedway, Dry Shod and many more. A farm is not a farm without a friendly storefront nearby to supply them.
