Alisha joined Cornell Cooperative Extension of Clinton County as a SNAP-Ed Nutrition Educator in November 2024. In this role, she delivers programs that promote healthy food and lifestyle choices among individuals and families in Clinton and Essex counties.

Alisha has a background in public health, holding both a Master's and a Bachelor's degree in Public Health and specializing in Epidemiology. She has worked in diverse roles spanning research, program coordination, and public health interventions and has been published in reputed journals. Prior to coming to the US, Alisha worked as a Public Health Officer in Nepal, where she coordinated mass vaccination campaigns during the COVID-19 pandemic and helped implement surveillance and reporting systems for pandemic-related data. She is now excited to bring her expertise and passion for public health to her new role, where she aims to empower communities through nutrition education and contribute to improved health outcomes in the region.

In her personal time, Alisha loves hanging out with friends, traveling, hiking, trying new recipes, and capturing memories through photos and videos.
