
In 2014, Field & Fork Network began administering the Double Up Food Bucks program at 7 farmer’s markets in Western New York. Since then, Double Up has grown to 30 counties and more than 230 sites across New York, and become a model for communities nationwide.

When you use your SNAP benefits, Double Up matches your fruit and vegetable purchases dollar for dollar (up to $20 a day). That means you and your family get twice the fresh fruits and veggies.

As of July 2025, Tops Markets, Price Chopper, and Market 32 are offering Double Up Food Bucks in over 75 locations across New York State.
At these locations, SNAP shoppers can earn up to a $20 coupon (printed at the checkout) on SNAP produce purchases, which can be used towards fresh produce on a future visit.
